...and again we thrust into the Atlanta night on Wednesday August 24, 2011 to a place known as Smith's Olde Bar. Smith's always seems to hold a warmth and intimacy that many of the smaller venues often times can't possess. This leads to a pleasant receptive mood for the music and acts to come and neither disappointed this night.

Joy Scout Rocks!
If you haven’t had a chance to catch Oakhurst’s incredibly talented singer/songwriter duo JoyScout – don’t wait another second! This Thursday, August 18th, JoyScout will be performing at Twains in Decatur. The show starts at 8:30pm, and should not be missed.
The lack of imperfection but the neccessity of pleasure and strength. SPINES, without them, we don't walk, but with them we gain identity, integrity, and we thrive. Some music is better than others just are SPINES. Their music holds solid and true. Not lying for the wrong reasons, but existing for the untempered truth of what music and life can be. The comfort of what is challenging, makes a bed for the complex. SPINES. SPINES' effection is found in steadied patience, that is tried and true. However energy, performance, and function transist into rare lands of embodiment, not met before. Thankful and yet cautious, for that which is given, and that isn't going to stop giving.

Sonicpalooza was a 10 hour music marathon of live contemporary music held by Georgia Tech's Sonic Generator. It was held on June 25, 2010 at Woodruff Arts Center Galleria and was a complete display of what the creativity and expression of music is and can be.
It was June 14, 2011 the return of PHISH to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre for their Double-Header of their 2011 Summer Tour.
It was awesome music from an awesome band. Even better, it was a live webcast, with icing on the cake being in the flavor of a free mp3 download of the entire show with the barcode number from your ticket. Which "really" worked!!! This offers the opportunity to verify if at the least what you heard was really as tight,solid, and flawless as being there lost in the moment. And...

On Friday, February 17th, I went to see the Atlanta-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist collective, Joy Scout, perform at Eddie’s Attic. Emily Kate Boyd and Nicki Thrailkill, the heart of Joy Scout, were missing third member Jesse Tyler, but were joined by long time collaborators Will Boos on ukulele, David Stephens on banjo, Paul Warner on lap steel, as well as Will Robertson on bass, who also produced their new album: Vampires at Sea.
